The following scholarships are open for application in Spring 2023. Click on the title of the scholarship(s) you are interested in to access the application.

Larry Adams Scholarship in Public Policy
The Larry Adams Scholarship, named in honor of former UCSB Professor Larry Adams, recognizes the importance of local internships and the benefit that such experiences can have for UCSB students. Applicants must be a political science major working as an unpaid intern in a local government agency 10-12 hours per week. Applicants must be in residence at UCSB for the following academic year.
The Casier Scholarship is a financial scholarship for undergraduate students majoring in Political Science. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in political science and be in residence at UCSB during the following academic year.
The Costigan Scholarship is a financial scholarship for upper division students majoring in political science with a strong commitment to conservative politics. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be in residence at UCSB for the following academic year.
Kevin Laverty Award for Excellence in Comparative Politics
The Kevin Laverty Award for Excellence in Comparative Politics is a $2,300 award for a deserving undergraduate student in the Department of Political Science. Preference will be given to an undergraduate student with a demonstrated financial need and who is taking coursework in comparative politics. The 2019-20 academic school year will mark the first award given for this scholarship. Applicants must be in residence at UCSB for the following academic year.
Kevin Patrick Moran Scholarship
The Kevin Patrick Moran Scholarship was established in memory of Kevin Patrick Moran, a UCSB honor student who lost his life in the process of bringing peace to the Isla Vista Community. The fund provides scholarship assistance to worthy undergraduate students who demonstrate leadership qualities, a high degree of academic promise and a commitment to the peaceful principles by which Kevin Moran lived. Applicants must be in residence at UCSB for the following academic year.
Louis Lancaster Scholarship for International Studies
The Lancaster Scholarship is a financial scholarship for undergraduate students majoring in political science with a strong interest in international relations and/or comparative politics. Applicants must be in residence at UCSB for the following academic year.
Reg Robinson Award for Excellence
The Reg Robinson Award for Excellence is awarded to political science majors with the highest grade point average in international relations courses. Note: There is no application process for this award. It is based exclusively on a nomination process.
