Michaël Aklin joins us from the University of Pittsburgh in February as part or our 2017-18 Guest Speaker Series.
Dr. Aklin is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh, with a secondary appointment in Public Policy at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. He is also a Fellow at the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy (ISEP), Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Professor Aklin's work focuses on international and comparative political economy. He is particularly interested in understanding why some countries are able to reduce their vulnerability to major risks such as financial crises or environmental catastrophes.
