Brown Bag Lunch on Careers Beyond Academia

Graduate students are invited to join Steve Boilard for a brown-bag lunch discussion on careers beyond academia. Dr. Boilard received his Ph.D. in Political Science from UCSB.

Steve Boilard is the executive director of the Center for California Studies. Based in Sacramento, the Center runs the renowned Capital Fellows Program, which places college graduates in yearlong, paid fellowships in state government.  Steve received his PhD and BA in political science from UCSB, and received his MA in Government from Sacramento State. Prior to joining the Center in 2012, Steve spent 15 years at the Legislative Analyst’s Office, where he oversaw the office’s analysis of higher education issues. He has taught at several universities,  including UCSB, Western Kentucky University, and currently at Sacramento State and UC Davis.
