Lecturer Pool (2017-18 and Summer 2018)

The Department of Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for anticipated part time temporary Lecturer positions for the 2017-18 academic year (Fall 2017, Winter 2018, and Spring 2018) and Summer Sessions 2018. Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department during 2017-18 and Summer Session 2018, with the possibility of future reappointment based on performance and department need.

The part time position (teaching one to two courses) requires that applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Political Science with teaching experience at the University or College level, or a J.D. with teaching experience at the University or College level. Successful candidates will be hired to teach courses in the subfields of American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Quantitative Methods.

The pool will close on October 31, 2017. If you would like to continue to be considered after that time, and the pooled position is advertised again, you will need to submit a new application.
