Lecturer Pool (Spring 2017 and Summer 2017)

The Department of Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for anticipated part time temporary Lecturer positions for Spring Quarter 2017 and Summer Sessions 2017. Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department for Spring Quarter 2017 and Summer Session 2017, with the possibility of future reappointment based on performance and department need.

The part time position (teaching one to two courses) requires that applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Political Science or a J.D. with teaching experience at University or college level.  Successful candidates will be hired to teach courses in the subfields of American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Quantitative Methods.

The posting will remain open until October 31, 2017 to accommodate department needs.  Appointments for Spring Quarter are usually reviewed in February or early March; appointments for Summer Sessions are usually reviewed in May.
