Professor Bridget Coggins Receives Grant to Study North Korea

Bridget Coggins, Associate Professor, is one of nine researchers that have received a grant of 1.2 million dollars for a multi-year project entitled Exploring the Black Box of North Korea in a Globalized Context. The goal of the "project is to produce a comprehensive body of research in English that illuminates the multifaceted layers of the North Korean state and its regional relationships." The grant is supported by the Academy of Korean Studies.

Professor Coggins' portion of the grant is for $50,000 and will be used to support her research for a book and two academic articles.
