Professor Cohen interviewed on implications of faltering economies in China and Greece

The Current interviewed Louis Lancaster Chair, Benjamin J. Cohen, on the struggling economies of China and Greece and their impacts on world economies and the U.S. economy. To read Professor Cohen's take on the current international economic situation, see the "Politics of Economics" article on UCSB's The Current.

According to Professor Cohen, Greece does not pose a direct threat to the U.S. economy, though there may be some rolling effects that reach the United States. China, on the other hand, with a slowing stock market and economy, does pose direct threats to the world and U.S. economies. He predicts that until something comes along to really spark economic growth, we will be seeing a worldwide economic stagnation for the foreseeable future.
