The UCSB Model United Nations (MUN) team won an "Outstanding Delegation" award for the second year in a row at the National Model United Nations conference held in New York in early April. The team of 22 members represented Kuwait at this year's conference. The award of Outstanding Delegation is only given to the top ten percent of participating schools. Participants credited a quarter of hard work and lots of individual preparation time, as well as the guidance of advisor Galen Stocking (PhD Candidate in Political Science) for their success. This the second year in a row that UCSB's MUN delegation has received this honor, which has solidified UCSB's position as a powerhouse school for MUN.
