Job Opening in Environmental Politics

The University of California, Santa Barbara Department of Political Science seeks a scholar who focuses on the politics of the environment, energy, or natural resourcesfor a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2015. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. by the appointment date.  The position is open with respect to field.  We welcome applicants from American politics, comparative politics, international politics, and political theory.  The environmental focus reflects a core interest of the Department and a major interdisciplinary emphasis across the UCSB campus. 

The successful candidate’s research should be theoretically informed and must demonstrate mastery of appropriate research methods.

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
