Lorelei Moosbrugger is a comparative institutionalist focusing on
industrialized countries, with regional expertise in Europe. Her primary
research agenda concerns the impact of institutions on the ability
of governments to provide public goods, especially environmental
protection. Moosbrugger is currently working on a book manuscript
in which she details how different institutional designs either inhibit
or promote the production of collective goods in the face of concentrated
costs. She also writes on the role of institutions in ethnic conflict
and the policy impacts of the institutional structures of the European
Union.
