Paul Sweet '69 receives Alumni Association award

Photo of Paul Sweet At its annual awards banquet in June 2007, the UCSB Alumni Association honored Paul Sweet '69 with the Graver Alumni Service Award for his activity on behalf of the UCSB National Capital Alumni chapter. The Graver Award is given to former students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to the University through direct and meaningful involvement with Alumni Association-related activities.

After receiving his B.A. in political science from UCSB in 1969, Sweet went on to obtain a Master's degree from Rutgers University and a J.D. from George Washington University. He has had a long career in government relations and is currently a Senior Vice President with the lobbying firm of Fleishman-Hillard in Washington, DC.

Sweet was particularly recognized for mentoring UCSB students and alumni working the Washington, DC, and for his fundraising activities for the new Mosher Alumni House.
