| Kenneth Khachigian '66 Interviewed in Nexus
Former Associated Students President and political science alumnus Kenneth Khachigian '66 was
recently interviewed for the Daily Nexus about his lengthy career in the political world. After
graduating from Columbia Law School, Mr. Khachigian went on to work in the Nixon administration
and later became Ronald Reagan's chief speechwriter. More recently, he served as strategist to
California governors George Deukmajian and Pete Wilson, and advisor to the Bob Dole campaign in 1996
and to John McClain in 2000.
In his interview with reporter Ryan Wah, Mr. Khachigian discussed
how his UCSB experience prepared him for his career, what it was like to work for Ronald Reagan,
