Professors Cohen and Digeser Present Papers at First Istanbul Conference Professors Benjamin J. Cohen and Peter Digeser were presentors at the First Global International Studies Association Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, held at Bilgi University, August 24-27, 2005. The goal of the conference was to bring together for the first time scholars from all parts of the world to examine the contrasting approaches and agendas of international studies. Professor Cohen was a discussant for the lead-off plenary roundtable: "Neoliberalism and Its Critics." Profesor Digeser presented a paper "Friendship Among Individuals and States" for the Thursday panel. "From Individuals to States: Self-Defense, Friendship, and Victimhood in International Ethics."
