The International Studies Association was founded in 1959 to promote research and education in international affairs. Today it counts over 44,000 members and is regarded as the most widely-known and well-respected scholarly association in this field. The UCSB Department of Political Science will be well-represented at its annual convention in San Francisco on March 26-29, 2008.
