"Religion in Amerinca Politics--Too Much or Too Little? "
The Arthur N. Rupe Great Debate Series at UCSB


The featured speakers are Rabbi Michael Lerner, author of The Left Hand of God: Taking back our Country from the Religious Right and founder of the Network of SPiritual Progressives, and Michael Novak, author of Washington's God and Director of Social and Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. The debate will be moderated by Professor Ann Taves, Religious Studies.

This event is presented by the Deans of the College of Letters and Science and is made possible by an endowment from the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation. It is co-sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center (IHC), UCSB Arts and Lectures, the Walter H. Capps Center for the Study of Ethics, Religion, and Public Life, and the Departments of Political Science and Religious Studies.
