Santa Barbara Summit on Environmental Studies
The Santa Barbara Summit on Environmental Studies is organized by the Environmental Studies
Program at UCSB and is co-sponsored by The Council of Environmental Deans and Directors,
the National Council for Science and Environment, and many UCSB units, including the department
of Political Science. The purpose of the Summit is "To take stock of teaching and research in
Envnironmental Studies and to think collectively about where the field ought to be headed in the
future."
