The Drum Wars of Guy Warren


The Black Studies Department presents the 4th Annual Shirley Kennedy Memorial Lecture, named in honor of Dr. Shirley Kennedy, social justice activist in the community, faculty member in the Black Studies Department, and Community Affairs Coordinator for the Center for Black Studies at UCSB. This year's speaker is Robin D. G. Kelley, Willam B. Ransford Professor of Cultural And Historical Anthropology Studies in the Anthropology Department at Columbia University. Professor Keely is an award-winning author and leading African-American studies scholar.

This event is sponsored by the Black Studies Department at UCSB and co-sponsored by the Department of Political Science.
