Faculty and students focusing on the politics of policy investigage an array of areas: agriculture, education, environment, and macro-economic and monetary policy. The politics of environmental policy is an area of special focus at UCSB, especially on issues of human-climate interaction in the area of climate change and energy. Pre-approval from the student's faculty advisor and graduate advisor is required for any four courses to be counted as a qualifying field.
