Graduate student Alisa Rod has received a 2009 instructional project grant from the UCSB Academic Senate to complete a unique manual for PS 121, "International Politics." The curriculum for PS 121 focuses on theoretical paradigms concerning the actions, interactions and relationships among nation states. Rod will use her grant to create a manual of relatable examples that teaching assistants can use to help students connect abstract conceptual theories with issues and events that are relevant in their own lives.Her goal when the project is finished is to have creative examples and exercises that correspond to each concept and theory that is taught in the course. |
